Website Design & Development
You will find almost countless website design and development companies advertising their website design services on the web. However, what many of them don't highlight is that the client generally needs to provide all of the content before they create the website.
Most people can rustle up some images and a company logo. Most will even have an idea of what the site should include. So when does the whole website project end up sitting on the back burner? Usually, when the text for each and every page is needed. That's where my website design and development service can really help you out. Creating a website from next to nothing is what I do best. And what's more with my publishing, marketing and copywriting experience, turning a blank page into a fully-functional website is what I actually enjoy doing more than anything else.
As an editor in print publishing, my role involved bringing together the skills and talents needed to create a publication. In publishing, the roles of an Editor of a printed book and the Project Manager of a website project are very similar. Key talents needed are:
- The Author - For website copywriting, it's me the Web Writer
- The Illustrator – For websites, images can be sourced from photo libraries or commissioned from a photographer
- The Book Designer – For websites, it's almost the same, the Web Designer
- The Production Team – The Web Designer or Web Developer takes on this role (hosting, e-commerce requirements – the 'techy' stuff)
